Week 5 | 2017

Happy Friday!

Each week a group of amazingly talented photographers from Facebook Group challenges each other to take on an assignment or weekly theme. I have joined two years ago. My first year was strong, but my second year was hard due to fostering of few really difficult and time consuming behavior issues dogs. This weekly challenge is a great way to network, get to know each other, and just try new things in general. I love being creative and I will do my best to wow you!

This week's theme is: Before and After

Now, since we should be more creative with this project and think outside of the box. I will post a bit more creative Before and After photos. I will also post my normal post process, but really I joined this project to stay creative and try new things.

Here is my Before photo of a puppy living next door. I love this crazy puppy boy named Kramer. We pet sat him and I wanted to take few fun photos of his scruffy face. I took him to a trail with a sand which kinda provoked an idea in my mind. I truly hope you enjoy one of my favorite edits!

Challenging myself to learn more in Photoshop and staying creative has been always a goal of mine. I absolutely love photography and even more what can I really do and learn! The sky is the limit!

My next Before and After is inspired by You Tube. I have seen a video of someone taking a portrait outside with an Off Camera Flash (OCF). I always wanted to try it, but never had a chance. Wonderful photographer that I follow on FB and is also a HeARTs Speak member, was so kind and generous to send me her equipment she use to started with. Imagine my gratitude, I have been doing so much for shelter pups, but nobody never done anything this nice for me! I am honored to play with Diana's equipment that she no longer needs. This was so much fun. We also discuss OCF and Diana gives me feedback also. This was fun project! Ready for another favorite of mine??

Hard to believe this was done outside, but it was! My settings were ISO 100, 1/200, f/13. The goal was to darken the background enough with the high f stop and fill in some light spots with the black brush. I kept the umbrella barely opened as I wanted only a streak of light on my subject. I truly hope you enjoyed my creativity on this project as I really try to think outside of the box. Get inspired and try this! I had so much fun!!!

Remember, this is a circle of photographers and we try to get others participating. Please scroll down on each blog and visit the next photographer. I hope you enjoy the talent and diversity in our group.  Up next visit  Pant the Town Pet Photography serving MA and NH.

Have fun and thanks for stopping by!
