Week 23

Happy Friday!

Each week a group of wonderful photographers from Beautiful Beasties Network challenges each other to take on an assignment. This is a great way to network, get to know each other, and just try new things in general.

This weeks theme is Self-Portrait with My Best Friend(s). This challenge sounded like a fun! Sure it was. I am not a big fan of selfies, but including my pups, why not? Tough part for me was that my zoom lens is not as wide as I would like for this project. I took my pups out and we had fun in a sunset. I would suggest, if you do this, have a wider zoom lens, because mine is just not enough. I believe that I look better behind the lens and I rarely find myself in the front of one. I wanted to have fun, just my skin imperfections are truly driving me bananas :)

This is great time to show my own pups and show off my new foster dog Honey. She shuts down in a shelter. Due to the fact that shelter was full, we were trying to keep her out, so she can live. I have taken her home for few weeks until her Heartworm Treatment is done and then we will look for a good home for her. Honey doesn't like the camera, but she is super sweet, cute, and a bit timid girl. As I tried to take a photo, she looked away...

This project is so much harder. Having my lens on, trying to focus with my star button and also pressing my shutter, what a multitasking challenge. Eeeeeek, after few funky selfies, we were able to get few normal ones in too. On this photo Katchka and I are sharing a treat... yam!

Hardest was my puppy boy, she is absolute crazy about running around with his Frisbee. I was able to catch him for a shot as well. I tried to mimic his breathing :) ahahaha

One very special thing about my little Kika is that she will lay on my back. This is silly move she has done every time I go closer to the ground. It was impossible to have myself in a focus, but I tried.

I also wanted to try all of us in one photo, but that has proven to be impossible. I could have, if the zoom was wider. I have shot many more, few with me laying on my back with Honey, but they didn't came up sharp enough. I was able to get myself and the girls to take a photo together! That was hard! This is what we do, we goof around every time we can! We are crazy Sanborn family. Bahahahahaha!
